This Insect Can Biodegrade Plastic

Scientists have discovered that the most difficult-to-degrade plastics can rapidly biodegrade in Tenebrio molitor. Tenebrio molitor larvae use foam as the sole food source, and can survive for more than 1 month, eventually growing into adults, and completely degrading and mineralizing polystyrene to CO2 or assimilating into worm body fat.
