In September last year, a penguin from Brazil was washed by the sea on a beach in Sao Paulo.
Scientists found a whole mask in its body.
It can't spit out, it can't digest it, it can only be starved to death.
This penguin is the first recorded animal to die from swallowing a mask on a global scale.
Unfortunately, it is not the last one.
Countless animals including seals, crabs, tortoises and seagulls died due to masks.
